Mom is making Pink Lemonade and Maddi asks to stir.
Mom: I'm not sure that's a good idea, there is alot of water here, I don't want you to spill.
Maddi: Oh, it's ok. I've had a LOT of underwater training...
Well, good to know....if I ever need to go on an emergency submarine mission, you're my gal...

Photo TAG!
I got tagged from the Phillips!
Photo Tag
Here is how you play. Open your photos folder or program.
Go to the first folder that comes up.
Go to the 10th picture in that folder.
Post that picture and tell about it.
Does this picture really need a lot of explanation? It was their blessing and we were trying so hard to get them to smile sweetly for some pictures. There were about 8 adults surrounding them all speaking in unusually high voices and squealing trying to get them to smile. See how well it worked?

Belated Post about a Premature Valentines Date
Yep.
A Date.
Me.
I went on one.
With my Husband.
I had forgotten what he looked like without a child attached to him.
It all started when my sister Cherilyn called and said she and Julie could come and watch the kiddos so we could go out for Valentine's Day. We went the weekend before to avoid the craziness that is Utah Valley on that night. Jesse had received a Bombay House gift card for Christmas, so we decided to go there. One of our all time favorite restaurants ever. I'm drooling just thinking about it. I took my sweet time getting ready and we had a very nice relaxing dinner- sans kids. I even ordered a drink....
sigh......
YUM YUM YUM
We ate and ate and ate. Then we devoured. And then we groaned. And then we ate some more. Divine. I WILL crack their code one day. I'm working on it.
Good times were had by all. And then we went to Sam's Club on the way home. It was soooo romantic.
Did I mention it was without kids.
Cause it was....
ps. Here's the cuteness that was going on while we were gone.

Avatar: A Review

The movies:
Pocahontas and Fern Gully
hooked up and had Avatar.
Jurassic Park tried to join the party but was too aggressive and it's special effects were soooooo yesterday.
(See what I mean? aggressive. Just couldn't play nice...)PS Mr. Cameron, I respect your diligence in making a movie that has amazing special effects. I understand that it took up to 2 months to render a single second of the movie. However, if you were as diligent to your story lines as you were to your special effects, it would have been much better. The plot was solid, but recycled. If you spent more time on character development, maybe I would have actually cared about your love story....and your main character....
PPS I do realize that my gender may have something do with the way I feel about this movie. And yes I do feel the same way about Titanic.
PPPS The last 3D movie I saw was Captian EO. Man that takes me back....
PPPPS RIP MJ

isms.....
Maddi and Mom are cuddled up in bed talking about the day before.
Maddi: Why do we celebrate Ground hog's Day?
Mom tries to explain
Maddi: Hmmm ok. What else do Groundhogs do?
Mom tries to think. They run around underground? Eat? Play with the other Groundhogs?
Mom: They hang out
Maddi: No mom, they HI-BER-NATE.
Ok, ya got me. You know more about Groundhogs.
(and she emphasized the word as if I wouldn't understand her)

Gender stereotyping happens at such an early age...
Conversation with Andrew while getting ready to go pick up car pool.
Andrew: Why are you wearing that hat?
Mom: Because I don't have time to do my hair and so I threw on this hat.
Andrew: You look like a Police Man
Mom: Uh...ok
Andrew: You can't be a police man
Mom: Why?
Andrew: Cause you're a mom!
Mom: Moms can be police officers.
Andrew: No, you're a mom....But daddy can.
Mom: Why's that?
Andrew: Cause he's a dude.
uhhhhhhhh....excuse me?

Not so concerned about those stereotypes now, are ya?
