So where in the world are we? Good question. Maddi asks me that every morning when she wakes up. We moved a couple of weeks ago to our house in Pleasant Grove. It wasn't so hard since we hadn't really unpacked to begin with. But it was amazing how much JUNK we had accumulated in the short time that we had been there. Luckily I had recovered enough from my meningitis bout to get packed and organized. Ok, my mom helped me a little. Ok a lot. We bothered all our friends and family until they agreed to help us move. We had one suicidal Saturday that we moved everything and it went better than could be expected. So thanks Jared, Becky, Sam, Brad, Spencer, Alisha, Mom, Dad, and Rebecca. We couldn't have done it without you!
The kids seemed a little bewildered by the whole thing. Especially since we keep going back to the old house to clean and all that stuff. Maddi keeps going into her old room and is really confused since it's empty. Hopefully the transition will go smoothly. We haven't gotten too settled just yet. Jesse has been working on a side job that has consumed much of his time. But we're working on it slowly but surely.
Oh and just so you all know. The SCARIEST thing happened last week. We were on our way out the door and I was helping Andrew out the front door. He stepped down onto the sidewalk and he almost stepped on A FREAKING SNAKE!!! I grabbed him and walked rather quickly to the car and (quite calmly albeit forcefully) yelled for Jesse. I said, "There is a snake on the sidewalk, get the shovel, I need you to kill it". Ok so what did the snake do? He stared slithering away into the bushes! Yes the very same one I was weeding the day before. So Jesse wanted to not worry about it, but no! I couldn't have that thing lurking around waiting for me as I cleared the flower beds. Jesse found it and I held it in place with the long handled shears while he lopped it's head off. Jesse felt bad because it hadn't done anything to us. Yeah, sorry I don't feel that bad. That snake was going down and either Jesse was with me or against me, but that thing had to die! It was disgusting. And I had the heebie jeebies for a week! I was ready to pack up the kids and move out. I had only been here a week, I wasn't attached yet. It would be better to cut all ties and start over. But Jesse said no. I asked the next door neighbor if that was normal and she said it was the 3rd snake sighting in the neighborhood in the 12 years she'd been there. I can handle that. I would post a picture of a snake, but I don't want the heebie jeebies again!

So where do you hang out?
So I babysit for a little boy named Mac. Yes, as in the truck. One day I was downstairs doing dishes and I suddenly realized that it was really quiet. So I started looking for them and here is where I found them...
What? Playing in the shower is weird?
What? Playing in the shower is weird?
Yes they were coloring and drinking apple juice in the shower. Look, sometimes you just have to get away....to the shower.....

Memory Game
I got this from my friend Hannah's blog. It's fun!
I hope you will play along.
Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments
