Tis the season......for the flu!

Saturday morning after we went to our "Meet your Primary Teacher" Breakfast, Jesse wasn't feeling very well. We didn't have long to think about it, since we needed to hurry and get ready to go to the Bountiful Temple since my sister was taking out her endowments. On the way up we stopped and got some medicine which seemed to help but he was still pretty sick. We made it through the session and dinner, but after dinner Maddi threw up all over my dad.....on his suit....and on Jesse's suit that was laying on the bed. Poor girl. I drove home since Jesse was feeling really sick too. I was thinking how lucky I was since I wasn't feeling sick at all. Ha! That next morning, Jesse and I took turns running to the bathroom. It was awful. Maddi was also throwing up. It was not fun. Luckily Andrew still seems ok. We missed our first Sunday teaching our first class which we were really sad about. But at least Jesse made it to work today and is feeling "better" I'm still iffy. I'm too scared to eat. I just HATE being sick! We're all in our pjs and are just hanging out today. I put towels all over Andrew's bed, just in case. I must go now, because I have a LOT of laundry to do! yuck........ We've been lucky though, this is the first sickness we've had all season (with the exclusion of me) but I thought we were doing pretty well. Guess not!

So True...

I stole this from my friends blog. This quote is so powerful. Thanks Jeanette!

"Mothers, rock a sobbing child without wondering if today's world is passing you by, because you know you hold tomorrow tightly in your arms."

California!

We had an awesome adventure with Nana and Papa in California. We had decided to go after all even though I was still sick. We had delayed the trip twice and I just couldn't do it again! So I packed up my percocet and we were off. We met Nana and Papa in San Diego. We spent a few nights there. The kids slept with Nana and Papa, it was awesome! (and quiet). We went to Old Town San Diego and walked around. We also went to Sea World. Here are some pictures!

This is what Maddi packed: Books, Tinkerbell shoes, her stuffed seal, and a doll.
Here is what Andrew packed: two couch pillows and Maddi's hat. (yes, I repacked!)

Here we are on some rides at Sea World.

We had awesome seats for the Shamu show!
I love this picture of Andrew, he is so stinkin cute.
Here is Andrew wearing Papa's Hat. He and Maddi loved running around this circular planter in front of our hotel.
That's it for San Diego. We had an awesome time! I'll post some Disneyland pictures in a few days.

Thanksgiving!!!

Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving! We went to my Parent's house and just hung out all weekend. Some of my cousins came over for Thanksgiving dinner and we had a blast! We did a lot of cooking, watching movies, and doing puzzles. On Friday it was Julie's birthday and we went to Chuck E. Cheese. Maddi and Andrew loved it! They were a little cranky but overall we had a great time.

Halloween Parade

When I was in Elementary School we would have a Halloween parade every year. It was the coolest thing ever. It was so much fun because the whole day was completely shot. All the preparations, the parade, the cleanup, and then of course the party with the room mothers. The day was completely wasted! Apparently the teachers caught on, because they later cancelled it. So imagine my excitment when I learned that Maddi's preschool held a Halloween Parade! Huzzah! I was so excited. I wasn't there, however *sniff* , but here are the pictures my mom took. Thanks mom!

This face is only because he wanted to join in. sigh....me too Andrew.... me too.........

Wow I look so fantastic in this picture! I think I was thinking "Can someone clean him off, please?"Just kidding. This is a picture of Andrew right after he was born. Our camera was sitting on the end table. The nurse handed Andrew to me and then picked up the camera and took a picture. I barely even had time to react. You can see her hand pulling the blanket down so you can see his face. Wow, good times.
