Halloween Parade

When I was in Elementary School we would have a Halloween parade every year. It was the coolest thing ever. It was so much fun because the whole day was completely shot. All the preparations, the parade, the cleanup, and then of course the party with the room mothers. The day was completely wasted! Apparently the teachers caught on, because they later cancelled it. So imagine my excitment when I learned that Maddi's preschool held a Halloween Parade! Huzzah! I was so excited. I wasn't there, however *sniff* , but here are the pictures my mom took. Thanks mom!

This face is only because he wanted to join in. sigh....me too Andrew.... me too.........

You will be happy to know both Elementary schools i have worked at recently over the last few years have both had Halloween parties and parades so you hopefully have plenty more to look forward too! A secret peak into the teachers view of it all... The holidays are shot anyway the kids go insane, so its actually nice to have the parades and parties and such to keep the kids preoccupied... organized chaos is much easier to handle than when they create their own! Oh the fun of being a teacher! And i am sure a parent as well!!

so cute!
yeah, they don't do the parades here in TX either. something tells me that it's more out of cultural PC-ness than out of concern about education. lame.
