Hello Operator...

Ok...Just in case you didn't know, I do not have caller ID on my home phone. So when the phone rings, I have NOOO idea who's calling! Old fashioned I know. The reason I say this, is so you know that when you call, and the only word you say is "Hi", you have to understand, I have NO idea who you are! You would think I could recognize everyone's "hi's" by now, but that word is too short and it's usually too loud in here for me to hear you. That and the cell phones people call on aren't usually crystal clear. So no offense when I just sit there trying to place your "hi". What I have to do is just play along and talk to you until I hear more words so I can figure out who it is. This can really get me into trouble some times. But I figure, if you don't tell me who it is, and I mistake you for someone else, it just comes with the territory and now we're both even. HA! So I love to hear your lovely voice, I just like to know who I'm talking to ;)

I was here all along...

Well, it's been awhile since I've posted. My laptop and I got into a fight. Yeah, you heard me. My laptop starting talking smack and I had to lay down the law. Then it called me mean, and I called it fat and it just escalated from there. Look...I don't take crap from NO electronic, I don't care how much internet surfing it helps me to do. Ok, there really wasn't a fight, but wouldn't it have been cool if there was? It sounds like a youtube video waiting to happen doesn't it?

Ok so actually the reason for my absence is due to lots of food, folks, and fun. Lee and Maria came into town on the 23rd of April for Jared and Spencer's graduation. Maria ended up getting sick and so they stayed through the week with us. They were already planning on flying out the next weekend for baby Edward's baby blessing. We had a fun week though, although Maria was laid up in bed. Joseph and Roseanne and clan came that Thurs for the blessing as well and we had a full house. And for whatever reason, I did not take one picture. What is wrong with me? I can't believe it, I dropped the ball on that one.

After everyone left, I got a call from my friend Charise. I used to work with her husband Chad at UVSC and she cuts my hair. Anyhoo, we had discussed me watching their little boy Mac. So I started babysitting full time for them. He is the cutest little boy! I'll make sure I take a picture. He and the kids play really well.

And then last Saturday my cousin Greg got married. We had a good time and it was fun catching up with everyone. We don't get to see that side of the family very often.

That night we hung out with our friends Natalie and Cory. They have a daughter named Madeline and the Maddi's had crazy fun together. Unfortunately Andrew wasn't feeling well and was a little angry guy the whole time.

Well that brings us to today. We are all sicker than the sickest thing ever. You heard me. We're all so stinkin' sick it's disgusting. Jesse stayed home from work today and we're all laying around half asleep eating crackers because that's all we have to sustain us. It's ok, Jess is going to the store tonight if he can make it there without crashing the car. Just kidding.......sort of.....

I really do feel bad about not taking pictures. So here is a picture of us in better times.... Otherwise known as our Christmas card picture.
And just so you all know, the kids did not look at the camera in any of the million of pictures we took, so Jesse moved their eyes. Creepy, isn't it? Not to me, I think it's cool.

Ok I'm signing off. I'm going to get in my pjs and watch Sense and Sensibility with a box of tissues. Not the Emma Thompson one, the new one that was on tv. Although the Emma Thompson one IS delightful. And the tissues are for my nose. TMI, I know.... but this is my blog! If I want to talk about my stubby nose, I'm going to do it! Look, I'm just keeping it real ;)

When I picked Maddi up from Preschool a couple of weeks ago, THIS came barreling out the front door, it was trying to attack me! I tried to run away, but it ran after me. So I took it home and fed it and it's been here ever since. I was never really sure what happened to Maddi.

Return of the Swamp Thing

Once upon a time, about a fortnight ago, WELLLL after we put the kids down, Jesse and I decided to go get ready for bed. We were tired and shuffling our feet as we locked the doors and turned off lights. But WAIT! What is that? Is that the bathroom light on? Well that's strange, who would leave the bathroom light on? We cautiously sneaked our way along the wall when we heard little giggles. Little giggles you ask? Yes, that is what we heard. Jesse braced himself to fling the door open, brave soul. The door flew open and the sight we beheld was the scariest sight I'd ever seen. This is what we found in our sink:




What is it? What could it possible want with our bathroom? Why did it make such a mess, what was it looking for? Jesse took a step closer, I told you..... he's brave, and said, "I think this creature needs some washing off." So we washed it off and turned it's pj's right side in, and upon further examination, we concurred that this was indeed Madalyn. With a good talking to with stern faces , she was escorted back to her bedroom. And then we collapsed on our bed and laughed because we're only human.

At Easter Alisha's niece and nephew came over to play. Maddi and Ade went crazy with each other! The game was to run around the table and scream. Oh good times were had by all....except the grown up cause little girls scream really loud. Here are the culprits:
