I DID it!

I posted EVERY DAY in January! Seriously, I thought it was going to be really hard and it would be hard to find things to post about. I still haven't done all the posts I was thinking! I'm glad I accomplished my goal...small steps, people....small steps.

I still plan on posting at least once a week, but it's completely possible that I will be doing it more often. It really wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

So now it's time to take roll. Come on people, come clean. Who's reading? Just say, "Here!" or "Check!" please don't be embarrassed if you are just blog stalking. I blog stalk all the time (wait, did I just say that out loud?) ok but it's true. I'm fascinated with blogs and love reading them. So just stop and say hi!!!

ps. I can't believe in one month I have more posts than I did all of 2009! crazy....

Mary Mary Quite Contrary....

How does your Garden Grow? Well, as you can see, this little patch is growing quite well. I dare say it's growing like a weed. HA ha! ha! ha...ha......cough....ha......

Sorry, sometimes I just kill myself.

This last spring I REALLY wanted to plant a garden. We didn't plant one the year before and I really missed doing it. We had a great one at our old house and I missed showing my kids how much fun it can be. I missed the fresh vegetables and especially the fresh basil. hmmmmm......fresh basil.......

Wait, what? oh yeah,

So my parents were kind enough to come help us clear this patch of weeds and plant a little garden. I was dealing with placenta previa at the time so I just watched.

Sigh...

Ok let's just talk about the Elephant in the Room, ok? My face is not pregnant. Or my arms. It just appears that way. Yes, I BLEW up like crazy and this was a month and some odd days before I gave birth, and yes, it got much...much....worse......but it's all good now.........ish.

Ok, let's just move on shall we? Aren't you glad we got that out of the way?

Ok. So in July my friend/cousin-in-law Annie and sister-in-law Mandy threw me a shower. Seriously they are the BEST. They invited all our families and we had a fantastic time. They had awesome food ( of course! They are fantastic like that!) Chicken Ceaser Salad, Fruit, rolls and Strawberry Lemonade. We had a diaper raffle so a lot of people brought diapers and Annie made cute handbags for the winners. I REALLY REALLY appreciated everyone who came and all the hard work Annie and Mandy put into it! I have the best family!!

We didn't get everyone who came but here's a lot of them!

Flashback

I was organizing some closets the other day and came across my Wedding Dress. I was half tempted to pull it out of the box, just to see if it fit. However, I can tell you, it probably wouldn't. So instead, I will just look at a picture. It's a good goal though.

Note to self: Make sure it's white or wheat.....

Shortly after the twins were born.....like maybe a week....Maddi and Andrew were bored to tears. So one night after dinner we went to Lone Peak Pond to feed the ducks. We grabbed some bread on our way out and didn't notice until we got there that it was cinnamon raisin bread someone had given us! Needless to say, the ducks did NOT like it. They kept coming for, spit it out and then come get more. It was a pretty interesting outing.

Andrew's Birthday!

Andrew's Birthday is Oct 4th and in 09 he turned 3. My family came over and we had fun watching him open all his presents! And just to warn you, there are a LOT of pictures. I just couldn't decide, so I uh....did them all. So make sure you have a lot of time and you're comfortable before you start.
He's just opened his Lighten McQueen Sheets from Nana and Papa, I was explaining to him what they were but he was SOOOOO excited about the picture of LMQ on the front!! In fact later, when I had opened them and threw the packaging away, he got the pic out of the garbage. ew.


"WAIT is that who I THINK it is??? Wait who's on the wrapping paper, hold on I want to look at the paper for an minute."

"YAY a Lightening McQueen picture! What? .....huh? This is a blanket?"
Andrew:"OHHHH! I get it now."
(see how impressed I am? )

"Hey it's BUZZ! Ummm is there a picture of Lightening anywhere?"
"Ummmm ok yeah, Buzz is cool."
Andrew:" ANOTHER PICTURE OF LIGHTENING MCQUEEN!"
Mom: "Andrew that's a Bedspread from Nana and Papa. We'll put it on your bed!"
Andrew " huh? what's a bedspread?"
(And Jesse decided to really get him going and have Maddi give him the Piece de Resistance.)

It was a Shake and Go Racetrack. He didn't really care.
(that is until we put it together and then he cared, I admit it, I play with it too. It's fun.)

And I PROMISE I did NOT persuade him. He ASKED for Chocolate. I just happily obliged.


Crap......They caught me.... I was DONE frosting the cake FYI. I just didn't want to waste any frosting left on the knife. AHEM! yes....
