Double Trouble

Ok Ok, GOSH!!! I will post something new. I know, I used to be the bestest blogger ever. But I have to tell you, I'm so completely not even thinking about it. Sorry all you fans, lol because I know there are SOOOO many of you.
Ok enough dinking about. As many of you know, I'm pregnant. And not only am I pregnant, but I'm pregnant with TWINS!!!!
OH MY GOSH! And let me just answer all the questions and comments I usually get.

-Yes we are overwhelmed.
-No twins do not run in my family, although they are rampant in Jesse's family. Still waiting to talk to the doc on this one although we're pretty sure we know what happened.
-Yes we were told it would be difficult for us to have more kids. We weren't making that up.
-Yes I realize that I'm going to get ginormous and will look like a whale, I don't really need anyone to tell me that, but thank you for the reminder.
-I'm due Sept. 23 but that doesn't really mean a lot considering twins rarely wait that long to come out.
-Yes I have been in bed for a month. I'm so sick I can't even fathom how easy I had it with the other two pregnancies. And I thought I was sick with then! HA! I'm on meds but they aren't doing the job like they did before. I won't give you anymore gory details. Let's just say, yuck.
-We are working on getting the kids some bunk beds. Maddi is very excited about sleeping on the top. And she wants to get the babies bunk cribs. I tried to explain to her how dangerous that would be, but she's still very excited about it.
-One day I hope to go outside again....
-Yes we are going to be insanely busy. But the more and more it's pointed out to me by incredulous people, the more freaked out I get.
-Yes, we will be having 4 kids in 5 years. That thought alone keeps me up at night.
-And last of all YES! WE'RE ARE SO EXCITED!!!!!

Whew!

Ok I'm exhausted and I need to eat.....again. I have to eat every couple of hours and yet I have lost 5 pounds. Huh? yeah I know, the babies are eating me alive!!!
Anyway, over and out.

Ahem....

Tonight Jesse asked Andrew if he would say the prayer at dinner. It went a little something like this...

Jesse: Heavenly Father
Andrew: Hay Fa
Jesse: We're thankful for this food.
Andrew: Food
Jesse: Please bless it.
Andrew: ess it
Jesse: (coughs)
Andrew: (coughs)

Jesse: We say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
Andrew: MEN!!!

Well at least the kid follows direction!

Maddism

Mom is getting Maddi ready for bed. Maddi decides she deserves a treat.

Maddi:
Mom, can I have some M&Ms?
Mom: Sorry, we don't have any.
Maddi: Why don't we make some?
Mom: Well, I don't know how to make them,
Maddi: Oh Mom! It's so easy! You just take some chocolate and some "Ms" and mix them together, put it in the oven to bake and when you pull them out, you have M&Ms!

Wow kid why didn't you give me that recipe sooner? We could have made a fortune!

Just call me Ginger..... or Mary Ann....

Since Jesse isn't one to toot his own horn, I'll do it for him. On Monday he received a phone call from a teacher of his at UVU. She asked him if he would be willing to teach a class this semester. He was ECSTATIC! He has expressed a lot of interest in becoming an adjunct teacher in the past but he never knew how to go about it and he hasn't really had the time to figure it out. And now this has fallen into his lap and it just so happens that he will be teaching his favorite class, Interaction Design. He has a lot of prep work and reading to do, but he's really excited. They also told him if he wants to, he could do more classes next semester. He's going to wait and see how this one goes first! USANA has been so nice to work around his schedule and let him go early. Although everyone he works with has taken to calling him The Professor. I think it's funny. Jesse is not sure he agrees.

California Adventure Land!

This is the first time we turned around at the Disneyland gate and went to California Adventure instead of Disneyland! We had a blast. Maddi is the biggest Pixar fan. The highlights were definitely the Pixar Parade and the Live Playhouse Disney Show. Both events had all of Maddi and Andrew's favorite characters and they kept freaking out. It was so fun. Here are the pictures!

Maddi was sick the day before and was a little sensitive to everything. She plugged her ears through most of the show! But she watched very intently.

They LOVE Stitch! (or ITCH as Andrew says.)

We happened to be right by the speakers for the parade and it was quite loud. Nana got some ice cream cones and so this is how Maddi ate hers:

Poor Andrew was so tired he zonked right out. We tried to wake him, but he missed the entire thing.

Maddi plugged her ears but every time a character waved she waved back, but put her shoulder up to cover her ear. She's a silly one.
Yay! A high five from "the green guy"
This Buzz Lightyear chick gave her a high five too but I missed it. Buzz was on the float.

Huzzah!

And picking up where we left off....... DISNEYLAND!

Remember when we went to California? In NOVEMBER? Well here are some of the pictures. I can't not put them up here. It would be weird, no? I was still sick at this time, so you may see a few pre-percocet pictures and post-percocet pictures. It was also REALLY warm that day. It was almost 90 degrees! Crazy! (and pay no attention to the dates on pictures that say it's April 2006) And I'm not sure why Maddi insisted on wearing her hat. She's so funny.

Here are Nana and Papa walking with the kids up past the Rainforest Cafe through Downtown Disney, and on to Disneyland. They looked so cute I had to take a picture.
They were promoting the Tinkerbell movie so they had a Tinkerbell statue that was lighting the Mickey when you first walked in. Yellow lights moved along those yellow flowers up to Tinkerbell's wand. It was really cool and Maddi LOVED it! (we all know her affinity for Tinkerbell) (ps this was the best picture after many of trying to get them to look, they were too facisnated with all the twinkling lights.)

Andrew flipped out when he met Donald Duck.
"Are those big white buttons on his pants? Wow those are fancy pants"
Maddi riding her favorite ride with her Nana
WHEW! the percocet kicked in!
LOVE LOVE this picture! Don't their personalities shine through? (no offense Andrew) And see those passes hanging around our necks? We were lucky enough to get the fast passes they were handing out to random people! yeehaw!
This ride was also a favorite (although not for my tender head)
Another photo op with Goofy
Pooh Bears hunny pots
Perfect Ending to a perfect Disney Trip!
We had an awesome time ! Thanks Nana and Papa!

Tis the season......for the flu!

Saturday morning after we went to our "Meet your Primary Teacher" Breakfast, Jesse wasn't feeling very well. We didn't have long to think about it, since we needed to hurry and get ready to go to the Bountiful Temple since my sister was taking out her endowments. On the way up we stopped and got some medicine which seemed to help but he was still pretty sick. We made it through the session and dinner, but after dinner Maddi threw up all over my dad.....on his suit....and on Jesse's suit that was laying on the bed. Poor girl. I drove home since Jesse was feeling really sick too. I was thinking how lucky I was since I wasn't feeling sick at all. Ha! That next morning, Jesse and I took turns running to the bathroom. It was awful. Maddi was also throwing up. It was not fun. Luckily Andrew still seems ok. We missed our first Sunday teaching our first class which we were really sad about. But at least Jesse made it to work today and is feeling "better" I'm still iffy. I'm too scared to eat. I just HATE being sick! We're all in our pjs and are just hanging out today. I put towels all over Andrew's bed, just in case. I must go now, because I have a LOT of laundry to do! yuck........ We've been lucky though, this is the first sickness we've had all season (with the exclusion of me) but I thought we were doing pretty well. Guess not!
